Audio DJ controls for winamp.

It was sucky that you could only use the audio dj controls for windows media player and not for winamp3,so i searched a way, and yes there is, maybe there are more ways to do it, but heres how i did it:

First download the following file:
http://www.winamp.com/components3/de...onentId=125421

After install, just configure the remote in keboard api, finally just map the audio dj keys as if they were keyboard keys, done!

I hate WinAmp 3. Is there something similar for WinAmp 2?

Yes, just visit darkain.naoneo.com, there youll find the same rm-x plugin, but for winamp2.

You can even use the spp hotkeys for winamp, i love it!

Yes, definitely a great thing to have :-) One of my friends mapped keyboard keys for winamp so he could play games and use them. I like the audiodj on the 8886 for that purpose :-) (I just use media player, but oh well).

Alright, I'm trying to do this on my shiny new 5680. I can't get RM-X to recognize the buttons. I've tried reinstalling the hotkey drivers, but it still doesn't work correctly. Any suggestions?

Problem solved

Download and install this: http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm?pa...9&languageid=1

It is totally sweet and you will be so happy that you did. Once you install it just take the mhotkey.exe out of your startup and let this little app take care of all your dj button woes.

SCORE!!!

the plugin works... i'm back to winamp... and WITHOUT having to install iTouch.

on a p3 550 at work, itouch increases my shut down and start up time to the point i'd rather just use my mouse than my keyboard to control winamp. they're as bad as novell.

15 milliseconds

On my 2.8gig p4 it increases my startup and shutdown time by an by about 15 milliseconds...in other words, not at all Itouch rocks on my 8887!

SWEETNESS! This is the best plugin I've EVER found! The audioDJ function orginally was reserved for ejecting CD with the computter off. Not anymore, with this programI have full control. This rules so much!

BTW you can map your remote that comes with the TV Tuner to control winamp too! I just go to the same place where I mapped the autoDJ keys and did the same with the remote.
