Can anyone help me with a problem with the laptop fan. I have the emachine m6805 and the fan does not run very often and the laptop is burning hot. The hard drive is running at 59.0 degrees and the fan will not come on. If the fan does come on it is only for a minute then shuts back off again. My boyfriend has the same laptop and his is running almost constantly and his temperature is only at 43 degrees. We did get the two different hard drives though. I have the hitachi 4200 rpm, while he has the hts 5200 rpm. Could one possibly run hotter than the other or is there a problem with my fan? Any suggestions would be helpful.

I have this memory installed in my Inspiron 14R. 6gb (one 2gb & one 4gb). Great performance! I highly recommend Kingston.

Well what can I say, I needed that little bit of extra storage that as a family we could all use. After searching around I narrowed it down to three suppliers, not the cheapest, but all well...

I purchased this Nook Color specifically because I was taking a very long trip to China and wanted to be able to read without carrying a ton of books. I also liked that it had email capability...

This is an awesome mouse with an excellent grip for a mid sized to large size hand. Right-handed, comfortable, trendy, upscale, red, responsive, functional, task oriented. Overall A+++

This is great ram (so far so good). Very fast and efficient Ram. Good for overclocking my Sager np8150

The laptops do get kind of toasty underneath especially under the memory slot on the left. Sounds like your power profile is set to "Portable/Laptop" and his is set to "Always On". My m6805 always gets hotter on the bottom when set to Portable/Laptop because the fan doesn't run but every so often. Set yours to Always On and see if the bottom gets cooler (it should). Your fan should also run all the time. If it does then all is normal.
Both of our power settings are set the same, they were set at emachines power setting. I will try at the always on setting and see how that goes. I will probably just have to go get a laptop cooler. I was going to buy one anyways, but I also want my laptop fans to be working properly to get ultimate cooling capabilities.
