Satellite Will Not Boot

HI ALL
I HAVE A SATELITE 1905-S303 AND IT WILL NOT TURN ON.

I PLUG IT IN AND THE BATTERY LIGHT AND THE PLUG POWER LIGHT ON THE DISPLAY COME ON SO IM SURE ITS GETTING POWER.

WHEN I PUSH THE POWER BUTTON IT DOSE NOTHING AT ALL IT IS DEAD.

HELP!!!!!!!!!!

All I can suggest is to pull the battery and leave it unplugged for 10 minutes.

Sorry if this sounds obvious but I've mistakenly done it... Check that you haven't left a CD or DVD in the drive, it could be trying to boot off that instead of your hard disk. Likewis a floppy or USB external.
Can you get into BIOS? If so also check boot order there.

it does not try to boot from any drive it is dead. no fans run no drive activety nothing at all. i'll try the battery thing but don't think it will work i'll let you know.

Sounds like the motherboard may have "gone south".

Sorry I miss understood your post before, you might also try using the power supply alone without any battery installed at all, I had a similar problem with my old HP. The battery had failed and hogged all the current from the power brick (which got very hot). Laptop ran fine without any battery at all and again fine with a replacement battery.

Yup..99.9% sure it's the battery...take it out and run just off of AC power.
