ZE 4540 notebook modem

I just got a new hard drive, 40gig, installed winxp & it didn't find the modem. I read all my documentation & went to HP software & drivers site but no modem drivers there. I did get all the other drivers, some new ver: 24mb vid, sound, network/lan, utes & so on. geez why is this so tough? Am i humble or what

They modem drivers come on the recovery cd, it says "driver recovery CD" on the top and is half black/half white. On it are all the original drivers, and some stupid HP crapware.

If you give me your email address, i'll email mine to ya...it should be the same drivers, i have a ze4600series. They seem to use the same hardware in all of these...
