Case for S series with extended battery

So I've seen a ton of posts about the best cases for the s-series, but most of them say something like "but I doubt the extended battery will fit."

Anyone have a slip case that accomodates the extended battery and still looks great? I'd like to have something that'll protect my machine when it's travelling in my backpack.

Thanks!

Any case that accomodates a 14" or 15" laptop should work very well. I have one from Tumi designed for a 14" laptop, and it has a few inches of space on my S360 w/standard battery. I'd imagine that the extended battery would make it the perfect fit.

I have been looking at Tumi cases too (but I never have my laptop when I am near a store)....do you happen to have the model number of the bag?

Thanks!

The one in particular I have is #3, the black Notebook Computer Insert.

Thanks...I think they make the best quality luggage....does this case have a sholder strap or do you use it within a larger case?

Thanks again!

Yes, Tumi does have excellent quality and service. I can attest that their attention to detail and customer satisfaction are excellent.

Laptop sleeves are designed to either be carried by hand, or be put inside of a larger bag. If you are looking for a very thin and lightweight protective case for your laptop, your best bet would probably be a laptop briefcase that happens to be small.

Has anyone tried fitting the extended battery into the neoprene S-series case? Neoprene tends to stretch a bit... is it enough? Is there enough play to fit the larger battery?

well if ultimately you are lookign for a more rugged or versatile solution than a sleeve, maybe in addition to it.. i have the sony backpack designed for the s - great bag... and cheap online, like $35 i paid.
