Hp,compaq,fujitsu siemens?

What would you recommend and why? Hp pavilion DV1000, Compaq presario V2000 and Fujitsu Siemens Amilo M1425 or any other? I'm willing to spend 1000 - 1500 €. I would use the computer for schoolwork, internet, listening to music alot and maybe some movies but not so often. I like digitalphotography and drawing so I also use photoshop and illustrator and perhaps some CAD programs but just for fun like a hobby. would you recommend any of the alternatives? What is important to think about when I choose setup, RAM, processor or ?. I just found an advertise for a

Fujitsu Siemens AMILO M1425
Intel Pentium M735

What is DDR same as RAM?


Aargh!

I'm no expert so please help and give some tips, I dont know what do do anymore?

DDR is RAM...sounds pretty good for what you metioned above
