So far so good. It looks awesome. I don't have time right now to fully set it up. It was worth the wait and all the bananas.

The screen on the 8890 is simply amazing and I have not even got past the WinXP setup screen .

For Forsaken - I ordered 10th Sep., tracking number 19th, landed 21st, cleared customs 22nd, in my hands on the 24th (would have had it a day earlier if UPS was not backlogged as much).

Edit: here's thanks to the bananas (although I have yet to check my screen) .

Cool!! 5 days since getting the tracking number. Not bad for getting it to the other side of the world. Now all I need is the tracking number. Waiting....waiting.....

Laura@PCTorque, I ordered thru Don S. @ powernotebooks.com - got an email on the 15th that the money had gone to Sager and that..."Your SAGER notebook computer is in production and should ship within 6 business days" - later that day I got a follow up (because I had questioned an apparent change in time from when I ordered it - my mistake) The followup claimed that it was a first come first serve basis - that any prior orders to mine would take precedence over mine - which makes sense. Read on a thread here that Sager ran out of the LCD's so I assumed that was the prob...also read that more were diue the 24th. Although I don't know if it's true. I guess today is the sixth business day...so maybe tomorrow will be the day. I bought from Powernotebooks 3-4 years ago, and it was a very good experience. I had never heard of PC Torque, but I'm really impressed with this forum, and the support you offer Sager owners...and other makes as well. Thank you for offering to assist!

I wish it to be known that I will spare no nanas in my quest for a no-dead-pixel-screen. In fact, I have also begun offering the highest quality nanas to the Great and Mighty Shipping God so that I may, if it is his wish for me, recieve my 5680 this week.
I dont care how many are left after my mission is finished, for it is the nanas destiny to serve my purpose.

Well you are still more than welcome here. I wish I could have been able to help!

I know that Sager is hoping to have all of our backorders filled this week, so I would be surprised if you didn't get your tracking number within the next couple of days. I have my fingers crossed for you.

Sincerely,
Laura @ PC Torque

Laura has there been any update on the availability of the 6in1 card reader yet?

It shipped! Just got tracking info from Adam (thank you!)

Now all that remains is to watch it got to Florida and back...

Just curious...Does anyone know if the OS gets loaded at Sager or at PCTorque? I'm just wondering if they have to open it up, load it and then ship it, or if they can just slap a new shipping tag on it and put it right back on the UPS truck?

Let the sacrifice begin!

The OS is loaded by Sager.
I love the poor 'nana's being squashed between the drinks. Good one Zubby .

I think it is time Adam updated the smileys to incorporate a few of the new 'nana themes - roasting 'nana, dying 'nana and Zubby's new squashed 'nana.

What we are really waiting on of course is Emyr's animated 3D 'nana.

And a final sacrifice to the no-dead pixel 'nana god - thanks for keeping all my pixels alive and well .

Mine still hasn't arrived. Shipped on the 12th. APO mail to Iraq absolutely sucks.
