For those who want to do a fresh install of WinXP

Just a heads up,

If you have a inspiron 6000, 9300, or XPS2 and are planning to do a fresh install of windows, and your not going to use the restore partition i suggest that before you do, download the drivers from the dell support page. Reason for this is first, newer systems no longer come with the resource/drivers cd and also if you do get one, chances are there are no drivers for the said systems.

Enter your service tag or the product model, and click on the blue arrow. Then select your operating system and click on submit.

Also make sure you have the windows restore CD in hand... or you may have to burn it from your hard drive to CD like some of the units that have been shipping lately.
