9300/XPS satisfaction poll. - Page 2

After 3 days I have no complaints so far. My XPS2 is definitely light year ahead of my old i8000. My only "problem" with it has been the big distraction at work...everyone keeps stopping by my desk and asking all kinds of questions leaving me unable to get anything accomplished!

Enjoy it will you can. It will wear off sooner than you would hope. I work in a fairly small office so it only took a couple days for everyone to spend their 15 minutes with me asking a b'zillion questions. Even the FedEx guy has commented several times about it. 3 days in a row several people were in my office when he arrived and he had to hunt for someone to sign. Need less to say I am the envy off the office right now. The next newest notebook is over a year and a half old. Other engineers are in awe over the 1920x1200 wuxga res. (Most of them are working at 1280x1024 or 1480x900 on notebooks) I can't use anything less than 1600x1200 for developing. And my XPS2 is my ticket to moble developing freedom. I am extreamly satisfied with Awe factor and screen size/resolution.

Yeah, I got that a lot too at the office --->
Too bad about your hardware issues...but the 5400 HDD for a developer...oh the shame

I am very satisfied with my xps2 the LG LCD is gorgeous very minimum light leakage, no dead pixels, the so called sparkles do not bother my eyes. Very impressive laptop, gets a lot of attention in class.

I'm also very impressed by my XPS Gen 2. I have had no problems with it and while I have the LG screen with some light leakage, I cannot notice the sparkle effect some people have. I'm also amazed by its gaming abilities. I couldn't ask for more in a laptop besides a perfect screen. I give it a 9.3 out of 10.

Extremely satisfied....

LG screen and all. My 9300 is once sweet unit and I was all paranoid after seeing all the very negative comments about the so called substandard LG screen. Methinks people are way too picky.

I think the XPS2 is the coolest gaming rig available. But, I decided I wouldn't want to use one as my daily work rig.

I am thrilled with my xps2. I got the LG screen and I get nothing but wows from everyone who checks it out. I can see a slight sparkle effect when working on white documents, but i have to be looking for it. Running WoW at max resolution and max quality is truly stunning.

Absolutely the case with my LG. When I look at the screen from a slight upward angle I can see a bit of sparkle, but not too distracting. Considering I should be getting the new EPP discount, I'll be thrilled with my purchase.

not mine.. Too much light leakage at the bottom.. Its starting to annoy me whenever i look at it.. And xps2 is huge!!!!! LOL.. This thing is going back.. Not for me.. I did not do a fresh install. I tested ut2003 and playing at highest resolution and the lag is horrible with stock driver. Its sorta like watching bionic man the million dollar man when he running in slow mo. bahhh!! What is wrong.?
