Final Fantasy Benchmark Questions

Hey all, I recently ordered an Area 51m - 7700 and was curious as to what kind of scores I could reasonably expect running the Final Fantasy Benchmark 2 on this system:

Specs-
2 GB DDR2 RAM @ 533 Mhz
3.6 Ghz Pentium 4 HT w/ 800 Mhz FSB
NVidia GeForce 6800 Go 256 DDR3 RAM
120 GB 7200 rpm (60 x 2 RAID 0) hard drives

If anyone has ran the benchmark and has scores I would love to see em for low and high resolution settings.

Here is the link to download if you haven't seen the benchmark before:

http://www.gamershell.com/download_3517.shtml

Not sure how to make links so feel free to copy and paste it to the address bar.

Thanks all! Now it's back to eagerly wating for my system still stuck in Phase 4 at the time of this post.

PS. I ran Final Fantasy Benchmark 3 but I noticed some glitches with that benchmark where half of the models in it disappear or blink in and out so I can't rely on scores from that benchmark on my current system.

Interesting I will have to try this benchmark on system. I've never even heard of it. Thanks for the info!...

Most welcome. =D

By the way they have a scale for the scores which appear in the lower right corner of the screen:

0 - 999 - Too Weak
Your comp can't handle the game.

1000 - 1499 - Easy Prey
You can play the game with lots of lag even on the lowest settings. Not that fun.

1500 - 1999 - Decent Challenge
You can play the game with less lag but probably would still bog down if you turn the settings up from barebones minimum.

2000 - 2499 - Even Match
Should be able to run the game at default settings without problems.

2500 - 2999 - Tough
The game should run very good at this score and might even be able to play at high resolution without too much trouble.

3000 - 3999 - Very Tough
Should be able to play the game with most settings on high no problem.

4000 - 6999 - Incredibly Tough
Nuff said.

7000 + - Impossible to gauge
Game on

My current sytem scores 2250 in low res and 1750 in high res.

Compaq Presario 7000
1 GB RDRAM
128 MB NVidia GeForce FX 5200
40 GB 7200 RPM Hard Drive
Pentium 4 - 1.6Ghz

I hope the Area 51m 7700 scores at least 8000... that would be nice.

Well, being that I play FFXI on my laptop I can tell you that I run at all the highest settings and the only time I ever lag is when I am in a area with a ton of people in it, and there is nothing you can do about that. I will run the benchmark again and let you know what score I get but I remember it was in the upper 3900+ range. The only thing I need to turn off is the weather effects and I have no problems. They are annoying anyway because sometimes they get in the way of seeing what it on the screen (i.e. like in a sand storm or something).

Well, I just ran the bench again and I got a score of 2953 in High Res and your system specs more than double mine so you should have no problem at all running it.
