I'm not sure if this has already been addressed....but what kind of things will you void by oc'ing your z71v? extended warranties? thanks

Overclock will void, technically, all warranty. Including the Intel warranty on the CPU from intel as well.

smile : so your currently runnig the 80.40 .. any glitch with it ?

that's what i was using but switched to 77.76 for some testing ...

I was running 80.40 w/o any problem. But a few people I've came across it with @ forums.guru3d.com have express problems.

I am currently using 77.77, just because that is the most recent beta release out there and I was doing some 3DMark05 benchmark. Fairly stable so far from all the gaming I've done.
The 80.40 drivers were causing in-game lag with BF1942. Seemed like when the temps came up to 60C or so and my fan kicked into high speed, the cpu/gpu would pause. The 77.77 drivers seemed to resolve that for me so far. Thanks SPK, for the advice in the other thread.

I got the video driver from the Nvidia site: 77.77 DRIVER LINK. Just be sure to put the modified NV4.inf file in the folder the Nvidia install program extracts the driver files to. That is, replace Nvidia's with the modified one, then run the setup application. Also, follow SPK's instructions to be sure the old version is removed before reinstalling. Seems like running drivercleaner in safe mode is a good idea too.

I think I have the same problem B Nietsnie had with his z71v, fried GPU. I was wondering if anybody knows if getting his replaced fixed his problems. Also I was wondering what fps people get when running video stress test in counterstrike and at what settings? Trying to confirm problem. I have 17fps at recommended settings and res, 23fps at 800x600 and lowest settings. This seems awful to me, and due to the video choking i get all the time, I think i have the same problem as him, and want to get it repaired, just want to confirm this first.
