I found a resolution that works well for me and not blurry!!!!!

1360 x 768!!!!! I am using it now as I am typing!! Woot!

Also, the sparkle is less apparent in it as well!!!

Also if it is a little blurry to you, you could calibrate it using this:

By the way....

GPU @ 300 / 580 using XtremeG's nVidia 76.41 driver

3DMark05: 2210!!!!

This is about what Acer 8100 X700 output..heehhe

From my understanding the GPU in the Asus Z71V is somewhat underclocked as the spec from nVidia said the GPU should be @ 400ish core and Asus Z71V is at 250ish....

Been using in EQ2 for 24 hours. Sheer performance baby! But then again, at stock setting the performance rocks too...

thanks for the update, smilepak, you are def the z71v man.

Great stuff there Smilepak. But how do you install the ExtremeG 76.41 drivers. Everytime I try to install it comes up with 'Nvidia setup program could not locate any drivers that are compatible with your current hardware'.

I got the same problem. What I did was allow the XtremeG to install, it will create a directory under C:/Program Files/....

There will be an nVidia INF file in there. From there, go to the adapter, select your own location, click on have disk, and browse to that directory and select the INF file in that directory...

Boom, installation successful!

I must be doing something wrong, can't seem to find the INF file. Is there an 'Idiots' Guide to installing these drivers?

I'm downloading the XG-76.41_ HD-[Guru3D.com] is this the right one?
smilepak, where did you find that resolution, is it stock or do you have to have those drivers to access that resolution?

Yup, that is the one. When you try to install it, it will create a directory in the C:\Program Files\...

Look in there, there will be a directory for the XtremeG. There is a n*.inf or n*.ini file

That is the driver info file.

To install it, right click on your desktop and click on properties. Click on the setting tabs, click on advance. Click on the adapter tab, click on properties click on update drivers. From there it will ask you a series of question, basically choose one that will say for you to choose the location of the driver.

There will be a button call "Have Disk" when you click on it, it will ask you where is the driver. Browse to the location of that folder and it will list the nVidia driver for you to install.

As for the resolution question, it was native in the nVidia application. It was part of the system try when I had right click on it from the system tray and select the resolution change.

What speed does your burner burn at, I dont think mine is doing it at the right speed, I have ritek 4x DVD-R discs, and it is taking 33minutes. I believe that is 2x speed. I also look in COpytoDVD and it doesnt show my dvd drive under devices. Is there a driver I need to dl from somewhere, I installed everything off original cd that came with laptop?
Isnt an 8x drive, I know I have 4x discs but it should be burning in like 15minutes at most.

Thanks for the info on the drivers Smilepak. With the 76.41 drivers I'm getting 2155 on 3dmark05 with the GPU set at 300/580.

Really?! Hmm that is odd. I get a little lower than that with 290 / 5(something)

Hmm.

Smilepak is that a good score? It seems to be up there with the Acer X700. Just tried to run 3dmark 03 with GPU @ 300 but it locks up during the test.

cward0625- I have burnt a CD using the Nero program and took about 15mins to burn. Tonight will burn my pictures (About 4gb) onto a DVD disk, will update you.

Update: Just ran 3dmark05 GPU set @ 309/618=2248.
Running conditions: Wireless off and only a few programs running behind. Seems stable.

15minutes for a CD?? that seems like a long time, what is the z71v dvd burner rated at for speeds? i have a 48x drive on my desktop and it takes 2 minutes.

just found these:
DVD-Dual DL
DVD-R/RW: 8X/4X, DVD+R/RW: 8X/4X, CD-R/RW: 24X/10X, DVD-ROM:8X, CD-ROM: 24X

so the DVD-R can do 8x with just DVD-R discs and not DVD-RW (4x).

Also does everybodies drive click when it burns?
