Had a question regarding the fans. It seems that the stock fan configuration(per my watching them from the I8K fan utility) is for the CPU fan always on slow, and GPU fan always on high. Is that right? That would mean that the GPU fan is always running full steam and doesn't have any added cooling possibilities when under load? I've also never heard the CPU fan ever kick up to high on it's own. Only have done it manually with the fan control utility.. Is it me or are these fans always cpu-slow/gpu-high.. or are they really turning on and off/changing speeds periodically and I'm not noticing it?

It seems the fan control utility fan manager is a bit lacking in function.. If the above is true, I want the computer to always power up in the slow/high configuration, then kick fan #1 to high when cpu temp gets up to 53 or so.. But when I tried to tune a profile, it always started with both fans off at startup in fan level 0.. Well at system idle CPU temp stays around 29-30 and lowest temp setting with the temp contol is 30.. This means the cpu/gpu fan wouldnt be on at all (in fan level 0) at startup in system idle.. leaving the gpu to slowly cook itself.. Just doesn't seem like the fun control utility is very useful.. especially with no fan control mgt in relation to GPU temp..

Your thoughts would be appreciated...
