gavinh. Not quite sure. I would assume it is a way for them to remote into the system and assist with problems (like Remote Assistance in XP). However, I am not quite sure
Update on system. I have been having a problem with the system during the last couple of weeks. I have been working with tech support on this issue (not looking to send the system back unless it is absolute - even then will wait until I move back there this August).
The problem is this. I can run the system for hours. I can surf for days and the sort. However, I am continually playing Guild Wars and there has been quite a few times that the system will simply freeze up. We ain't talking ice freeze.
The last shot in the game is sstill on the screen, the mouse is froze where it was last at. The system is just stopped. I have to power it down and the reboot the machine.
Been looking at everything to include drivers (old and new), blowing out vents (regularly do this - but what the heck - did it again) and the sort. I am saving the reload of the OS as a last result as I hate going through all of that. Tech support provided me a memory tester to run and after running it for several hours, no problems have been found.
Once i find out more, I will update the thread. That aside, everything else is running great. So looking to get this resolved as soon as possible. My plans are to get the upgrade upon the return back to the US, so if it is a major problem, I may just wait until then to resolve.
