ok sori.

i am planinng for uni and gaming. for gaming almost 5 hours day, for uni about 2 hours per day. most likely i take it to my friend's home playing warcraft ft.

weight it doesnt matter. i heard 9300 has a sparkle monitor. i dont understand what it mean and i am very confused. so can u help me to explain the word "sparkle" ? thx lots. can u tell me also advantages of both laptops ? thx lots/

Uni? what's that. don't worry about the sparke stuff, in fact all LCD have sparkle, it was just kinda blown out of porportion.

From what you said you should get the 9300 with the Nvidia 6800 Video card or a XPS2, avoid the 6K as u can't get the 6800 video card

uni means university. how about if i get 9300 with ati or 6000 with ati ? so only 9300 have sparkle monitor ? how about 6000? so u prefer to 9300 than 6000 ?

your going to game, the ati x300 is not a good choice if your going to be gaming 5 hours a day. spend the extra 200 bucks for the good video card. You'll love it.

Yes i perfer the 9300 when it comes to games, but gaming kills grades when it comes to university, so I try not to play games by getting a non gaming system. Besides I think the 9300 is a pain in the ass to carry around, but other ppl don't mind it.

university is usually univ, that's why the uni threw me off

ok. thx lots . you know it's hard to choose among many laptops. For example, TPG laptops, Dell, TOshiba etc. but the one attract me only Dell because beside the price is not that expensive and they offer a great deal. why u sell your DEll 9300 and 700 ?
so what laptop are u using now ? (post to xarthan)

university is usually univ
Never heard university being shortened to "univ".. even after going to university in two countries, never heard it on the internet either. Only abbreviation I've ever heard is uni.

Regarding the uni versus univ "debate" I would side with Xarthan on this. While I figured it out based on what Setan wrote. I do think, if you had to use short-forms, that "univ" would be better.

As for terms used at universities? When I attended we never said "what Uni did you go to for your MBA?". Or, "What univ did you go to for your Engineering degree?". Most of us never used short-forms whether talking or writing.

My 2 cents...

Any how, I'm still deciding on which laptop to go with. It's now the Dell Inspiron 9300 vs. the Dell Inspiron XPS vs. Toshiba's Qosmio G20-GS2 (and their 15" model).

Saw the G20-GS2 yesterday at a FutureShop (just like a BestBuy). Loved it's "piano gloss black" finish. And the screen was so gorgeous! Possibly the best looking screen I've seen so far. Though, based on the screenshots on this forum for the Dell TrueLife 17" screen...that looked nice too. Only wished I could see one in-person as JPG usually don't do products justice.

Later.

please dont argue over UNI or UNIV =+=. anyway, any1 try playing games on Dell 700m?

DarkDTSHD : Dell 9300 still the best ^^

I dont understand the problem......Who the hell says what uni did you goto, thats retarded, shortened on the net its univ. Anyway if your gaming 5 hours a day, its hands down Either the 9300 or the XPS Gen 2, end of discussion they are the best laptops on the market for gaming, but given a 100FPS on any given game is enough for you!
