On my older T21s I'd swap the XGA and SXGA+ between them. They were identical in form factor, obviously. On my T41, there seems to be a band of space around the 14.1" screen and the edge of the bezel so it would seem logical assume the same thing could be done. Sounds like IBM has made things more complicated in the T4* series for no good reason.
i know with the T42/3 (which are similar to the t41) the 14.1" and 15" version have completely different dimensions to each other, that is, the 14.1" T41 is physically smaller in its entirety compared to the 15" verison.
Thanks for the info, guys. Looks like I'll be upgrading as I'm doing a lot of Photoshop work now on the laptop and viewing angle of the 14.1" is not really all that great - no complaints otherwise, which is why I wanted to see if it was possible to try to keep it.
