What I have is:
9300 inspiron
Product: Intel® Pentium® M 750 Processor (1.86GHz/533MHz FSB), Microsoft® Windows® XP Professional
LCD: 17in True Life Wide Screen UXGA Display
Video Card: 128MB ATIs™ Mobility Radeon™ X300
Operating System: Microsoft® Windows® XP Professional
Wireless: Intel® PRO/Wireless 2200 Internal Wireless (802.11 b/g, 54Mbps)
Battery: 9-cell Lithium Ion Primary Battery (80 WHr)
1 gig of memory
The first glaring problem has to be the keyboard. I suppose this is the standard keyboard almost all laptops get stuck with, but seeing that extra width go to waste seems such a shame.
I've played two games on the thing, brothers in arms, and lego star wars. I have no complaints with brothers in arms but lego star wars has some severe sound issues, that I'm not sure how to fix. Though games isn't why I bought this.
Overall I really like the 17 inch screen, and the performance is good. I think it looks pretty good too. After doing some work on it I was fairly happy with it. Though I wish there was a widescreen resolution lower than 1200. I did notice the memory shoot up after barely doing anything, but my performance wasn't effected so I guess I can't complain.
I should also point out I can barely hear the fan or whatever when I power it on or when I'm using it. My desktop is a lot louder. Surprised me that it's so quiet.
Overall I'd say I'm very satisfied, but not completely satisfied.
