RAM Overheating?

i just finish playing an intense game; warcraft 3 for about 2 hours. nothing on my laptop gets hot except the RAM, i put my finger on the plastic cover and it is so damn HOT . but the computer never freezes or have blue screen though. is your laptop the same?

what are the temps? 2 hours of hardcore gaming may tune your rams @55-60. 60 is pretty hot but i think it's still ok. Your ram should be in the 45-55 range on normal use.

54 deg C for DIMM after Far Cry (3 hours) and Doom 3 (6 hours).. dunno how much it flux during the games but the cover was pretty hot

I just came back from China.

I've got the DDR sterling silver heatsink mod and all I can say is that the DIMMs were on FIRE.

I could barely put my hand on it for more than 5 seconds before retracting it like a rubber band!

The only thing that helps is a fan cooling solution under it.
