You know what I chose not to get the extended warranty, I still have 1 year warranty. I trust my knowledge about lappies and desktops to allow to fix what i need to fix when it comes time. About the upgrade on the Harddrive, well, I chose the 80 gig 5400. I know its a desktop replacement, so I know its going to be a tad slower than my desktop so I said fudge it. I want the space more so than the extra 2 or 3 thousand rpm's on the HD. To really tell you the truth, I haven't noticed too much of a difference on load times either, It may change by about a couple of seconds, but a couple of seconds I can wait. The upgrade to 1 gig of ram, is definetly worth it. I definetly suggest getting that as opposed to the HD upgrade. But whatever floats your boat. You can buy ram wherever nowadas anyway so your choice to go elsewhere to get the ram is all fine and dandy. Now the clearview screen, all I can say about that, is its bad ass. So much better than the standard screen. Its like looking at a CRT!. I was very impressed by the screen. The cam's not all that bad, But I guess its decent for what it is, ya know? Oh and the OS I would definetly suggest getting XP Pro as opposed to Home. Mind You I am kinda biased to it. But I've found that Home can be bogged down by some random programs, But they can be turned off. I jsut the Pro for its Clean install.

As far a everything else goes, awesome choice, You will definterly liek the lappy. I've paid 3200 for it, with extra's like games and the nostromo pad(which by far I've liked the crap out of makes gaming on the Laptop ten times easier) But an investment in a mobile desktop, youi should at least try to go all out, to an extent. I understand cost can be an issue, but if thats really your concern maybe the laptop is outta your price range entirely. But thats my two cents.

Its awesome that your getting it, you will be very happy with it, I know I am.
