hey kyrne, when did you place your order...oh yeah as much as i was worried about everything i was hearing, i didnt get any dead pixels or loose screws...well , the battery screw were a little loose but other than..

FINALLY GOT IT!!! It arrived this morning at around 9:30, after countless phone calls to FedEx customer service last night (read midnight thru 5 AM) to get the address corrected. Check out my review thread, it's in the Area51m forum, and it has a picture of the FedEx delivery guy! I love my AW!!!

*cries*I'm still only in phase 5! I've been in that phase since Thursday... *sniffle* Esitmated ship date is May 2nd. I want my Alienware! *sobs*

Is that according to the emails and web site? Did you know that the only way to be absolutely certain is to call in for a status check?

As an example, I've officially been in phase three since wednesday and I ordered my 7700 on monday. But when I spoke to them on the phone the other day (thursday or friday) I found I was actually in phase nine and the estimated shipping date was this coming friday.

Phases three and nine seem to be the major phases, I don't see anybody around here receiving notice of any phase between them.

I've been updated to phase twelve, and the expected shipping date is still thursday or friday of this week.

I'll be glad to receive it just so I can get back to work. I haven't been able to bring myself to concentrate on much else than my laptop ever since ordering it last Monday. If it gets to my house next Monday, I can spend the day or two just working on the software, then finally resume my normal life.

Awesome...seems like we're all expecting our AW's around the same time! SnoSlicer congrats!!! My wife is ready for me to get my 7700 so she doesn't have to bug me to play WoW anymore. man...it USED to be my computer but she's overrun it. I NEED my lappy! lol.

haha...I'll hide it! Get a key lock for it the AlienArmor and never tell her where I keep the key . Dang Dib now you got me worried she's gonna snipe it from me lol.

ps- shipped today! bummer part...ships the same day I start my new job so I won't be home!

I had a horrible dream last night. It had me and my dad going to pick up my new laptop at some post office, but when we got there, the lappy had over 9 dead pixels and a bunch of scratches on the case. It was a nightmare. I really, really hope I don't get any dead pixels...

Don't count my results as normal by any means. I live 2...count them, TWO...miles away from the Alienware factory. I was supposed to get the computer the same day they shipped it, but they slapped a dyslexic address on the box, so it was delayed a day.

I just called CS and my Alienware Area 51m 7700 has shipped! The lady said it will most likely be here on friday.
