well looks like my XPS 2 is getting the 5400 RPM 100 GB

anyone know what display this is?

Notes: My 2 cents on why I ordered what I did. (aka Thoughts from a babbling babbler)

2GB - I figured there was no way I would get the 1GB - 2GB upgrade til I figured by the time I took 33% and 12% off of $550 (cost for going from 1GB to 2GB) it went from roughly $550 to ~$305. I cant even get 2GB aftermarket delivered for $305.

100GB - 5400k 100GB Im hoping wont be that bad. I wanted the 60GB 7200RPM but since this will be a 50/50 work laptop with some regular programs on it for home use the extra room is nice.

2.13 vs 2.0 - Figured "If you are going to be a bear, be a grizzly". Plus its about a $160 upgrade.

Wow nice......I ordered mine yesterday with estimated ship date of 4/21.

I got it for 1900 after it was all said and done. $200 more than the 9300 I had on order. 512 Ram(upgrade later) and only a 60GB HD but that is what I have my 250 GB external for.

I paid ~~ $2750 before tax, title, and tags, but I'm not sure there wasn't an option hardware wise I didn't get. I figure this will last me for 4 years, or until I drop it. I can be hard on notebooks at times.

i just ordered my xps gen 2, and i'm sending the one that i have right now back to dell. For about 100 dollars less (with the rebate)i got a 4 year accidental coverage warranty, bluetooth, better wi-fi, backpack, extra ac adapter, and a 80 gig drive.
the only downgrade i had was going from the 60gig 7200 rpm drive to the 80 gig drive, i'm hoping it turns out to be a 5400 rpm.

Someone mentioned EBAY. With the coupon my cousin gave me I saved about $500 from my AAFES order. Others Im sure could keep a SWEET sytem under $2000, saving $1000 or more.

Well worth a $10 BUY IT NOW.

I got one off of ebay. Found a guy selling them for 10 bucks. Well worth it for the money I saved. If I had some extra cash I would have bought a few systems and turned a nice profit but oh well.
