Acer 8104 - Pulling the trigger so to speak

Thread Starter
All,

I have decided to get the 8104.

There is really no big difference between the Acer 8104
and the Asus Z71V. My problem is now . . . where do I get
it from ?

--> I am looking for the best seller with the most
--> flexible return/warrenty policy. Even if it costs
--> an extra $100 between the resellers.

Just in case I get something that has any imperfections,
yes this will be my first laptop. Will be replacing my old
desktop a lowly Pentium III - 800 as my main development
environment, and I want PERFECTION !

FYI : Reasons why I chose Acer ?

* No real world difference with X700 vs 6600 (although X700 a little faster)
* No real world difference with 5400 vs 7200 drives
* Supports my digital camera with its xD card type
* Looks better

The only drawback I would see is trying to boot Linux, but with ATI
coming out with native drivers I hope they will help this. A minor issue
really I have my old desktop for that

Doc ( my christmas present from last year to me )

The 8104 i have is very good and id concider ATI over Nvidia any day. The only lead Nvidia has now is with SLI i would have to say.
