IMO the best on the market right now is the x850. I run two...not in the same system but in two different systems, no hang ups just pure speed and crazyness. Although the card freakin pricey as hell the need to upgrade won't happen for a long time, perhaps in a good 3 years or so. But everyone knows once you buy a new card a much newer card will come out 4 months later.
As far as a good card for a resonable price I would go for the MSI x700 256MB or ABIT x700 256MB or x800 xl. All are very good cards. Right now from my understanding the x700's can not be OC'd, But I never OC anything cept my desktop Processor and thats a whole nother story.
Overall the x700's are good they are reasonable and will perform very well, the x800 is just one step up above the x700 will perform as good and sometimes a couple feet better than the x700's, But the x850's my god are they god's blessing the scores I've gotten off benchmark 2005 are ridiculous, All my scores have been in the 7k to 8k range.
