Ordered one using the following info on May 31st by calling spare parts:
Part number: X5166
Price: $13.95

Asked for free shipping, and got free 2nd day air shipping.

Shipped today, expect it next week.

NO cancellation issues whatsoever. Spare parts guy said that they have plenty in stock.

Thanks for the info Optics, I just ordered one although they would not give me free shipping they did give me $3 shipping. I wish I would have know about this before I ordered the laptops for the wife and daughter and paid $50 each on the build.

They wouldn't budge on my shipping. :-( Oh well, 23.95 beats $50 anyday!

I don't know what I was thinking when I skipped over that option. I had to order it twice as my first rep said he would call me back with option information and never did. It was added to that order but not the second.
When I called Dell spare parts they told me that they could not help me. They transferred me over to Dell support and they told me that it would cost me $82.00 including shipping and tax. After I informed them that I would rather return the unit and order another with the bluetooth he gave it to me! No shipping, no tax! Hmm I'd rather pay for something but was not willing to pay 82 bucks for it.

has anyone had any luck with the spare parts dept lately? ive been wanting to get the bt for a long long time

just got one of these. the process was long. they asked for everything from service tag to express code to name phone number address

i gave them x5166 part number and he looked for around 5 minutes and came back saying he had a new part for 59 dollars. he kept trying to sell that. i asked about a refurb and said it was ok. then finally he looks again and says yes there is a refurb for 15 with 8 dollar shipping to make it around 25 after tax and everything. i went with that and then asked what the part number was. he said it was x5166. but quite a runaround. he kept explaining that refurb only had 90day warranty vs 1yr on new part

update: the person who verified x5166 was in stock and placed the order on spareparts turned out to have put in the wrong order and got me a minipci wireless instead. and now theyre out of x5166 and giving me a really hard time about everything.

why does this have to be such a mess

I actually ordered one a week ago. The spare parts guy said he didnt have any in stock, but had the new ones for approx $50 for one. I told him that I could get one on eBay for $20-30 so never mind... he said "wait a minute" Magically, they had one in stock, but the one consisted of two BT units for $28 bucks. Said shipping would be $5 or something, told him I want free shipping and so he got me next day shipping free. So now I got the two units, put one in and it works great... plus I will eBay the other one for $20-30 and hopefully make most of my money back. Just keep trying and call to get different people. Good Luck!

I just emailed them. Hopefully they do the same thing for me!

Can anyone tell me if there is a parts line in Canada? Or if not, can someone from the states order me on of these things, or try to get one for free :-) I'll pay you a few bucks if you can get me one cheaper than ebay... Thanks
