Could owners of either the zd8080us or zd8060ca do an in-depth review? With pictures of course (left side of the keyboard, right-side, back, view of keyboard and screen, screen shots even with games, dvd footage...etc.). Please list any quirks you found. As well as any problems you think we (those considering either laptop) should be aware of.

I'm considering the zd8060ca or possibly the zd8080us. What's holding me off at the moment was that I was told that the P4 chips run hot and are not really suited for laptops. Opinions on this?

Thanks!!

Perhaps I should ask on the HP forum.

The model numbers are based on whether they are custom(ZD8000) configured on HP.com or were sold preconfigured(ZD8xxxus/ca).

On the issue of heat...yes the P4's run hot & since I dont own a ZD8000 I really cannot coment on that...but IMO it will probably run hot.

Do check out www.zd8000forums.com might get some information from other owners.

Thanks Miner! I'll definitely go checkout the URL.

I didn't know that about the "zd8000" (custom) designation. I'm assuming I can also custom order one from www.hp.ca. But, I'll look more into the heat issue with P4's in HP laptops.
