S360 cursor jumps around

Thread Starter
I use a Microsoft wireless notebook optical mouse with my S360P. Once a while, and it sure gets more frequently now, the cursor will jump around to a different place on the screen (say MS Word) -- and I miss the typing ! I tried to unplug the mouse and use the S360 touchpad instead; the problem seems to disappear. However, I have not tried this long enough to tell if this was indeed the reason.

Anyway, does any have the same problem? Could this be the incompatibility between S360 and the MS wireless mouse? Will it be the same with other brands of wireless mouse? Or, is there something wrong with my S360? Can you share your experience or offer some solutions?

Thanks.

I have seen problems when installing MS intellipoint software on the S360 - some people say that if you re-install the touch pad drivers again it will work well....i decided to roll-back and just use regular xp mouse drivers when I use my MS wireless notbook mouse

I did not install the MS Intelli software. I only use the XP generic driver.

I had the same problem with my optical mouse where it would jump to one of the upper corners. It seem to have disappeared after I did a clean install and removed most of the sony software. Before the clean install, i tried different mice drivers which didnt work but i have no problems now.
