how big is the carton box?

Is this something I can carry from work and into the train?

Probably. It isn't very big, but be careful, someone may jump you if you carry a box with the words Dell all over it. I can't remember, but I think you you put your arms straight out in front of you as if you were carrying a box, that is how big it is. The thickness is about from your shoulder to your elbow. The dimensions will probably be a little different but the example is just to give you an idea.

*My averages are based on the 6000 box.

It depends on if you got a case with it. The 9200 with case was 19" by 19" by 10", the 9300 w/o case is 19"by 19" by 14". Still too big for me to want to carry.

dump it wherever u get the laptop, why would u want the box? Just take the packing slip, that's all you need!

Always keep the box...always

He could take the laptop with him first, collapse the box and carry that another day. I just don't think I'd want to carry that big of a box on and off the train if it wasn't collapsed.

Plus, think of all the funny looks you would get if you carried a collapsed box onto the train.
