AquaMark3
Default settings (4x AF by defualt)
Score: 24832 (CPU: 8455, GFX: 2910)

Wow, that's a high GFX score...... I ran it and got a 23234 total with CPU 8677 and GFX 2682.... why the descrepancy? Did you overclock or update the drivers or something? Thanks

No.. i ran at default clocks (350/250).

But, i dont use the archaic drivers Sager gives. The Intel mobo drivers are up-to date (really helps), ATI's latest drivers (.6387), etc...
Would you mind pointing me a link to those drivers? Both of them if you don't mind.... I've never updated drivers from online before... Thanks, and congrats!

Intel Chipset drivers:
ftp://download.intel.com/design/moth...nfinst_enu.exe

Im trying to find the driver link... it was from ECS (ww.ecs.com.tw), but it seems they took it down. Gimme a bit to pull it off my lappy...

Is there a program to measure average/min/max/total fps on applications/games? If not, how did you measure the fps?

Challenge

Okay, then, mr power laptop, if you have it, just for pushing your video card (i talked to gs on this), for unreal 2003 tournament, download the blade runner map 2019 and see if you can max your settings. i havent tried updating my drivers yet, but i challenge you all to try cuz i get less than honorable results....

Just do a search in google or something...i was hoping my card would run better on this map as it ran the same on my 9000...so the 9600 should run alot better.

I have RS and it runs great on everything maxed out. The only issue is that on 1600x1200, I get these random pixel-sized artifacts jumping around on the screen. Search the forum for the discussion of this issue. My guess for the cause is the design of the game. No other game has this issue (yes, I am running the latest RS version), except for MOHAA which is OpenGL so its a different ballpark alltogether.

the sporadic pixels floating around sounds like a heat issue!

Doesnt happen in _ANY_OTHER_GAME_ (once again, I am not considering MOHAA). Plus, the artifacts are there the second I start the game. If I drop the resolution down to anything below 1600x1200, the artifacts disappear, which brings me back to my conclusion of bad game design (MOHAA has the defects even on the lowest resolution and lowest visual settings). Dont tell me RS is more graphically intense than UT2K3 or BF1942 (MOHAA is ancient).

Seriously

Can somebody try this map out? I need another opinion.

not all games utilize the gpu potential.
that means the gpu will get hotter/cooler with different games.

True, but as I said, the artifacts are there even when the machine is cool.
