Getting my 3rd samsung screen replacement screen

well i just got off the phone with dell, and i spoke to a cool guy. i explained to him how another tech was trying to get my graphics card and motherboard swaped out , claming that its the graphics card and motherboard causing the light leakage to happen. so i demand to cancel the tech to come over and do a lcd, mobo , and graphic card swap. i barely let him speak. i spoke real clear and spoke mainly about what i learned on these forums. i explained that the lcd light leakage is a manuf defect and its a design flaw caused by the lcd itself and that it does not have to do nothing with the grapics card and motherboard. i went on to say that its a waste of my time and the technicans time. i also added that am in risk of causing further damage to my laptop stating that what if the technican fails on performing his task of swaping the mobo and graphic card and damages my laptop as a whole. then i have to be without a laptop for a while. i also added that i understand i passed my 21 days money back on purpose do in part that i felt dell designed a solid laptop but they have issues with the screen i said that i felt that dell will assist me with further problems that i will have with this issue thus letting me pass my 21 money back. i told the tech that please send me my 4th samsung screen and that ill be able to replace it myself and that if it has the same problem, i will be contacting dell again to find out what can they do about his issue. (basically i see no other option then sticking with the LG). so the guy said ok, let me go ahead and cancel the technican from coming over to exchange these parts, and ill make out another order just for the LCD itself to be sent out to you , for you to install on your own. i said thank you. he put me on hold for like 5 mins and returned and gave me a new DPS #.

So ill be receiving my 3rd (should be 4th, but i returned what appeared to be a damage one to later on realize it was my background that made it look damage, but didnt check for light leakage) samsung replacement LCD. one thing i want to add i feel that what you guys call normal for the samsung am calling it bad. i guess cause am not really experienced with these types of LCD's, and i know i been a pain to dell to a certain point. and i know i been a circus show to you guys, oh well lets see what happens. I know there are other guys in here who are going on there 2nd , 3rd , even 4th replacement screen so i know am not the only one with this issue. i will keep you guys updated.

ps: does anybody have a idea how i can make dell send me a free pocket dj for all the hassle i been going through with these LCD's.
" hey its worth a try " others are receiving 100 bucks or more off there orginal order. i wouldnt mind getting a pocket dj and settle for the sparkles or light leakage. would you?

So let me get this right, you admit that you are not experienced with LCD screens, what you thought was damage was just a background image, you returned a LCD without even being sure it was damaged, what others are calling normal you are calling damaged and you want Dell to send YOU a pocket DJ?

I think YOU may actually owe Dell a pocket DJ or two. Count your blessings that Dell hasn't declined your requests on the basis of tech support abuse.

It does seem a shame that some people are having difficulty getting one type of screen, whereas others are getting three or four of them. (Not having a dig at you luology)

Incidentally, I thought you weren't sure whether to go for LG or Samsung.... What swung you?
Damn people thinking OMG MY SCREEN IS CRAP, JUST LOOK AT THE LIGHT LEAKAGE IN THIS PITCH DARK ROOM. Give me a break. I will bet you that is the only time you see the leakage.

You don't deserve a DJ.

Live with what you have.

Show us some picutres of how the light leakage is visible under normal use in a lit room.

You know what, you should SELL your 9300 and go buy a Sony. You obviously want a flawless screen and to achieve that you have to pay top dollar. You're wasting Dells time and just putting more refurbs into circulation because of your whims.

LUOLOGY will never be happy! Every response here makes so much sense. Its about time you accept that!

Yeah, LU, you definitely contributed to the problem, but Dell started it with these stupid sparkly screens and they make it worse with the wide variation on how they treat people and what they say to them. LU, since you are passed the 21 days, you really need to resolve this thing and find a way to be happy with your laptop. If you're not happy, you may be able to negotiate a return, but it will be a lot of work.

i said am not experienced with samsung screens, get your sh!t striaght. plus some pictures i posted here, ive been told to return it. funny thing is that from screen 2 to 3 i notice a better difference in leakage being that the last replacement was slight better then the 2nd. and about the pocket DJ was sort of a joke. dudes take things to serious here. dell dj cost what 200 bucks?? anyways i dont know why am getting bashed, you just got lucky with you screen, there are others out there going for there 3rd, 4th , 5th replacement. and no i dont need a sony laptop. i said before dell made a solid laptop with a some what issues with the LCD. and again what others are calling normal is not what i have gotten. so take it easy bro dont get a heart attack. dell pocket dj was a way of saying hey dell since you couldnt get my screen issue fixed first and 2nd time hey why dont you make me shut up or something. anyways. this will be my last replacement screen. and ill make up my mind. for those who been with me through out this and shown support on this issue since they going through the same thing i appreciate it. for those who got lucky first time, or for those who recieved a replacement and have been bash me kiss my , for those who are here and dont have a 9300 and are bashing me kiss my ,and those who been helping me out some what like sonicwind and dellbert and jose thanks . and to deportes who seems like am headin the same road as him there is still hope dude keep trying. lol. .

Ps. " HATE IT OR LOVE IT" ...HATERS

" ILL SHOT YOU DUDES LIKE MOVIE DIRECTORS"

sonicwind, i understand what you saying. but you received a good screen i didnt , so i shouldnt want something better then what i recieved? i dont understand last time i checked i did pay the same for the damn screen that xps and all 9300 owners who got the same screen paid for. i know where you coming from, it just hasnt been my luck in getting a good screen. and about the 21 days yea i knew that i even told the tech that i understand that and i did it on purpose since i felt dell will fix this issue and provide me with a good all-around support that i need for this situation. who the hell knows ill just pop back the LG and damn deal with it. this laptop is gonna be passed down to my younger bro once alienware or sager releases a response to the 9300 or xps 2. but anyways thanks for you help dude. dont worry i know you aint trying to bash me , but you right in most parts. but do you blame me?

If that doesn't say it all as far as what you know about LCD problems then nothing does.

yea but i didnt check the light leakage, that was the first replacement screen when the tech was here. and he even said the screen was damage , he was the one who replaced it and notice it too. so what are you saying . i notice after he left that it was my background, but it was to late to check the light leakage since he already left. and this is from a dell technican. so i guess your saying dell technicans dont know crap either right. you dudes are funny. anyway ill go back and forth with you guys then i dont give 2 fucs. you guys are understanding things wrong oh well.

ps. round 20 on notebookforums.
Lets get ready to Rumbleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

hehe....that about sums up the skills of your typical Dell tech as well.
Dell techs are usually less knowledgeable than the avg person in these forums. I asked the guy that came to swap mys creen out what he did to become a dell certified tech and he said he read some online manuals and took a test online, thats it!
Yeah, no I agree, if Dell had used good screens like most other companies, the issue of Lu mis-identifying a good replacement would have been moot. If someone slaps you, and the next time they swing at you you flinch, that doesn't make you an idiot, just because they weren't going to really slap you that time.

Who said I got lucky with my screen? I just went to Best Buy, Circuit City, CompUSA, and took a close look at the screens for Toshiba, HP, Compaq, Sony, Fujitsu, and Apple and can honestly say that they all have light leakage, to some degree, and what some call "sparkles." At least all the LCD screens that had an anti-glare coating had a sparkle effect--it's the nature of the anti-glare coating. The Fujitsu Lifebook N6010 had the best screen (no anti-glare coating), however it still had flaws (highly reflective, you could see yourself and glare from the overhead lights while playing DVDs and stuff.)

I'm not trying to bash you dude. I'm just trying to point out that you're bashing Dell without fully understanding the issue. Yes this is my opinion but, I don't believe you are going to be satisfied with ANY screen that has a anti-glare coating. Not that that is a bad thing--it's purely subjective. Some people don't mind the anti-glare coating--some do. Neither is right or wrong.

The point is, I don't believe there is anything wrong with the screens, it's peoples perception of the anti-glare coating that makes it "right" or "wrong" for them. I can live with the sparkle, you cannot. Neither of us is right, it's just a matter of choice.
