Toshiba SD-R2312 and Roxio

I just tried to install Roxio's EZ-CD creator and it did not work. I installed all the updates including the XP update and it did not recognize the drive. I got some engine initialization error. Roxio's web site says that it should work with the drive. I have a Sager 8886 laptop with Toshiba SD-R2312 CDRW/DVD drive. Has anyone gotten EZ CD Creator to work with Windows XP Pro and the 8886 laptop?

Any help would be greatly appreciated,

I have the 8886 with the same drive, and I have Nero, CloneCD, and Roxio installed,and they all work awesome. Burned SimCity4 lastnight on it. Make sure you have the latest update... and you actually have to do 2 updates I think.. but i can't exactly remember. I'm using v5 Platinum

Thanks for the info. At lest I know there is hope. I have gotten Direct CD to work which is the most important part for me. Still trying to get the rest of the program working.

I have the same drive on my 5660, and I have yet to run into a single problem... with Nero 5.5 ...
