Compaq NC8000 has sparkling too?

(not sure in what forum I should've posted this, but since a lot of talk here is about sparkles...)

I have a Compaq NC8000 (work laptop) and I noticed some kind of 'sparkling' when looking at a brigt white screen (this is a 15" 1400x1050 screen). To be honest, I've been using this laptop for about 6 months now and never really noticed it until reading about sparkles here on the forum (since I got a 9300 on order, I got kinda worried)

mod: just installed Powerstrip, the monitor model is LG-Philips / LGP2954

Anyway, if the 'sparkle' problem what people talk about here turns out to be what I see on my Compaq, I'm not worried...

Sony S series laptops have sparkle too.

The Asus Z71A has sparkles as well as the Toshiba P35. Oh wait... My blackberry has sparkles.. My PSP Noooooo...
