Dell just bumped my 9300 order placed on 4/2 7 FUC**NG days. They moved my ship date from today to The 20TH!!!

I was told last night the delay would be a coulpe of buisness days.
I was given a $45 discount because of the small delay.

This is just unacceptable. People ordered their systems off the EPP deal and they have already shipped.

I want to scream

I waited more than 2 weeks for Dell to replace a screen... actually the wait is still happening! Just take your anger out on Dell by cancelling your order getting your money back and buying from one of their competitors.

Yea the only problem is no one can match their price/performance ratio. However that aside, the delays I have been experianing are completly un acceptable. Sorry I just needed somewhere to vent.

It probably won't take that long. There are numerous anecdotes of people getting those notifications then the shipping date bumping forward

At least they volunteer the cancellation and make that easy. Most companies hide that sort of thing and try to make it hard to cancel or return orders. You CAN'T cancel an HP order once it's been placed for any reason. You have to wait for it to be delivered and return it.

Oh I agree, Dell is upfront about most of their information. Its when you have a question about a specific delay they cant answer anything and just hit some script button on Dell chat.

I am trying to contact dell through online chat. My session has been REJECTED twice. Never seen that before.

They just would love for you to cancel...especially if you used the 35% coupon or $800 one...so that way you will not get the same deal..

I just received my decked out i9300 today and i ordered it on April1 using the 35% coupon. $3200 order shipped for $2250.

2ghz, 1gb ram, 60gb 7200, gf6800, 802.11a/b/g, bluetooth, 8x dvdrw, wuxga (1920x1200)

Well called again, and I was livid about the 1 week bump back on my system. I pretty much got told nothing. And they gave me another $45 refund to shut me up I guess.

So that brings my total price down to $1221.00

Guess another $90 off is worth the extra week+ wait.

Not saying this will happen to you but I have gotten the same delay e-mail from dell in the past and the system always shipped within a day or two of the notice.

i lucked out. also waited about 40 days for the xps2. got a crappy screen, complained, and got a whole new computer... in fact they duplicated my order... backpack and shield and got it all to me within 7 days. and paid for the return shipping. better screen, but it's no sony xbrite

Yea some of these wait times are just horrible. Its the lack of information that kills me. They should be able to tell you Part X is out of stock and thats whats holding up your order.

Thanks to who ever flamed my rep, because I have a legitimate gripe about system delays.. WTG!

er, so they post these deals but hope people don't use them? Sorry, but if they ship it and you receive it, they will offer you even more money to keep it. They wouldn't do that if the would "love for you to cancel".

you should call dell and tell them to upgrade your shipping to next day air for free. they'll probly do it. just thought that would help you out. mine has the same expected ship date as yours. but i ordered mine on the 8th. i was told it should ship sooner and hopefully that it would ship this week. we can only pray.

I also got the "First Notification of Order Delay" email this morning. I really dont like the sound of "First". I also ordered on 4/2 and have been stuck in boxing stage since 4/9. I called Dell and was told someone would call me back with in 24 hours with information on the delay.

Im thinking there was forklift accident and we have been put back in the kitting queue or something similiar. This sucks!!!
