Motherboard Type?!?

Hi there!

Since I had problems with the CPU overheating and 'blue screening' happening as a result of it, I had to look at the possibility of installing a temperature monitor. However, motherboard monitor asks for the kind of motherboard my Alienware Area 51m 766 has, and that's when I got stuck.

I would very much appreciate any advise you may have!

I thank you for your help!

Regards, Marcel

Hi there!

Thank you very much for a useful utility!

May I dare ask if you have any idea of an easy to use program which can accurately monitor the temperature of the CPU on an Alienware Area 51-m, 766?!

Thank you again!

Marcel

Hey Keisur,

I too have a 7700 and was wondering if you use mobo meter, I downloaded it and other 7700 user's say that they use it, but I cant find my motherboard on the program. I checked to see what motherboard I have and supposedly its a Clevo/Kapok, I thought that the 7700 came with a Intel motherboard????? Any clarification would be great...........Thanks alot............

It's celvo d900t

yea, I use it. I just run it and it displays the temp and freq of the CPU. I don't actually "pick" my motherboard in the program.

I've also used SpeedFan (or is it FanSpeed?) and they both seem to display the same temps so I imagine they're accurate.

As j.clausse said, it's the Clevo D900t motherboard, turn you laptop over and look on the bottom, you'll "Clevo D900t" printed on one of the labels back there.

I use cpucool. Which is a program that I learned off of Driverheaven.net when I was reading about their review of the 7700...I like it, its light and tells you everything you need to know...
