Acer Turion is out? - Page 3

Now I've heard that they've cancelled any plans to release a Turion Travelmate in the US. Sorry to report that, and I hope I'm wrong.

Secondly, don't feel like you have to settle for the 8104. It's an amazing machine, I can guarantee you with that. I've owned a few laptops over the years and I've NEVER been as happy as I am with this. Besides, every report I've read comparing the Turion to the Sonoma reveals that the Turion just doesn't cut it. Not what I expected, but when the Inquirer, who are pretty much self-proclaimed AMD fanboys, say it doesn't measure up then you know something's wrong.

Oh, don't get me wrong, I will certainly be content with an 8104, I've heard great things about them. Notice I put the word settle in "" in my previous post . I'm still crossing my fingers for a notebook with near identical specs to the 8104 albeit with a Turion however, though the prospects of that happening soon seem to be doubtful.

The Turion model uses the same case as the Sonoma 4000 series. the 8100 series has its own case :P he he - and you cant get as good a screen on the turion model.
