OGM its another 7700 review

Thread Starter
Ok so here is my story of my 7700 purchase from the day I bought it to having it in my possession for a week.

Order Date: 03/09 – paid with a debit card
Payment received from 3/9/05 to 3/21/05 By this time I was kinda wondering how the payment was going and lucky I called because it was stopped. Now I knew that there was a $500 a day limit on the card, but I guess I missed the 3k limit that they had mentioned. Anyways I went down to the bank and said that everything was ok and to be expecting one last payment from AW at about $600. Called AW back and they were able to get the last payment in *in voice of Napoleon Dynamite * heck yes! The phase game continues…
3/23 I receive an email from AW saying “There will be a slight delay in your Alienware order, because the part(s) listed below are temporarily backordered. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, and assure you that we are doing everything in our power to expedite the process.
1- AREA-51M 7700 D900T NVIDIA DDR3 6800FXGO WITH 256MB MODULE” so I give them a couple of days and call in to see if they have an estimated date for arrival (it ended up being 3/35 when they came in. phase game continues..
3/25 – as stated before the 6800 came in and I jumped to phase 10 followed by the completion of the phase game on the 29th.
The order shipped out on the 30th and then it traveled from Florida to the small town of Montesano (which by the way has only one stoplight) in Washington State. While traveling I checked and checked but the tracking number was only updated when it finally got to Portland Oregon on 4/10, over a week later. And finally the sweet day came when on the 11th the computer showed up at my house.
Now I knew that this thing was going to be a beast but while I was unwrapping it like a little kid on Christmas (or whatever holiday you do or don’t celebrate) I found it was huge. Pictures just don’t do it justice; you really have to see this monster in person. Before I go on any further I will list the system specs:

3d mark 05 – 3622

*all game settings maxed and resolution at 1024x768 or comparable wide screen resolution (Planetside is running at 1280x1024 with all settings maxed)

So over all here is the score I give AW
Ordering process – 95%
Phase game – 90%
CS – 98%
Gameplay – 98%
Total score – a solid 97%

Thanks for the review. No, you can never have too many 7700 reviews. I never tire of them at least.
