lid offset when closed

hey guys,

i was checkin' out my powebook, and with the lid closed, if you feel the left and right side of the pb where the lid meets the keyboard, you'll notice that the lid sticks out slightly on the left side, and the bottom part of the pb sticks out on the right side when the lid is closed.

can anyone else feel this? it's the same on my gf's iBook.

not a huge surprise.. very few machines line up 100 %. I spose it depends how far the offset is.

This is perfectly normal. Every Powerbook I've seen including my own has this offset, the right side is a little up.

RMHOP81,

so your lids are perfect? like if you close the lid and if you run your fingers along the left and right side where the lid meets the keyboard, the lid is perfectly centered?

if so, there should be a way for me to fix it shouldn't there?

oh yea, the 1gig KINGMAX is great. My 12" 1.33GHz powerbook boots faster than my AMD XP 3200+ 1gig dual channel 9800pro desktop

here's a picture showing how the lid sticks past the keyboard on the left side, and how the keyboard sticks past the lid on the right side

not really that annoying, but kinda wish it were flush on each side, oh well
