Dell Trying to silence the truth

they are deleting posts when people are on the spot on how they are making americans unemployed so they can make profits.

They would rather see Americans on the street and going hungry, breaking up famillys and overburdening the State welfare system

just so they can outsource and make money.

Many companies are outsourceing, not only Dell. On the one hand you would argue for American jobs, yet as a consumer would you not be aggravated by higher prices?

So is there a place someone can look to see what companies are outsourcing jobs overseas?

if anyone knows the extension to a good tech. support for dell who is in the U.S please tell me. i have spoken to them only a couple of times but they were a complete joke. they didnt know even the most basic stuff. they had very deep indian accents and didnt have a clue about my questions.
there was good article in newsweek or time a few months back about these call centers in india. a lot of employees go through these centers which give them crash courses in english and comp. knowledge, enough to get them through. the article also mentioned that they r told to watch re-runs of 'friends' to get to know the culture. i found it pretty amusing and also understood how a lot of 'undeserving' people would get through.
im not being prejudiced. cant blame them though or even dell. its a trend most companies r following to save costs. but these companies should realize that its bad in the long run fo their rep.

ah..well the way I see it in life is people are stupid and dumb..this is why we have representative democracy. And many people complain about prices and stuff..and jobs..when they don't understand that prices reflect the jobs. Paying 100 workers in china to build a laptop is goin to be cheaper than paying 100 workers in America.

people just don't understand competition when in life, EVERYTHING is a competition. looking good, driving nice cars, etc. are all competition.

if company A can get a worker to make a laptop in china for 75 cents an hour versus a college-grad dude for $9 / hr..of course who the heck is the company going to choose? Why should Americans be mad at this when we all know, everyone favors cheaper, labor, prices, etc.

but not at the expense of a ridiculous drop in quality.

ive seen plenty of made in usa crap that was terrible and plenty of made in china crap that turned out to be relativly decent and vice versa of course

You have to be kidding me about that made in america bull right?
Why the hell would you want anything hand made in America? Dont get me wrong I love this country but if a malaysian labor worker can make my cpu cheaper faster and better thant the ones in texas or new Mexico why stop them? or if Korean ram is faster than American Ram? Japanese DVD drives and Lcds better than american lcd screens its all good reasoning you cant just say its hurting us. This is what we want we want it better faster and cheaper its how our culture works. I bet dell can hire 4 times as many employees in indian call centers then the could to maintain the rent and pay for the american ones. It means they can reduce YOUR wait time you know the whining consumer who b*tches about how hes on the phone for 20 minutes to get help? they have to improve something along with reducing cost or its not worth it at all.

uumm well im not really talking about the actual hardware. that i agree is pretty good abroad. like in japan or in taiwan. im talking about the tech. support of dell only. that is horrible. a major part of solving the problem is understanding it first. whats the point if u cant understand them or the techie cant fully understand u, because of accent differences or whatever else.
i think dell understands this as the initial sales calls always go to american sales teams. resources have to be allocated where it fits best, and right now that is not in india, mainly because of the communication problem. the dell was made in taiwan, the p-M was designed in israel and as long as it works fine i dont care where its made. but my experience with dell tech. has been bad every single time.
