You got AW to send it 2-day, and you got it in under 24 hours?

Damn, I wish I had the option to get an expedited delivery. I'd happily waive the $99 shipping rebate to get my machine sooner.

no, what happened was i was leaving the country this coming week and i let them know that....I ordered on the 28th of march, made a change when the big rebate appeared 2weeks ago and was given the 18th of April for a shipping date..I had to let them know that if it didnt ship this week, i would have to cancel..I think that started the ball rolling, and it went from there. They told me 3day shipping....here in less than 24hrs i'm not complaining
If they had offered an expidited shipping option, i would have jumped at it!!!!

I've been in phase 3 since yesterday, and I placed the order back on Monday.

I have a feeling that I'm going to be one of those cases where Alienware says it's going to take a long time, and it really ends up taking a long time.

Two weeks for a Geforce 6800 Go... I'm sure I'll have nothing but love for my 7700 and the company which built it, but what kind of company takes two weeks to get a component installed which is one of the top selling points in the first place? There are two options--a Geforce and a Radeon. Do you not know how to fit the card into the PCIx slot? Do they have to sit there and debate over the course of two weeks on whether it fits upright or upside down? Is there a theological discussion that ensues over which is the _proper_ way for it to go? Do they need to draw up blueprints and wait for a super computer analysis to figure it out for them? Is there some special astrological event, like the Geforce can only be situated in the port during a lunar eclipse or on the eve of the Winter Solstice? Is the leading Geforce-plugger-in'ner just on vacation? Did one of the Oopma Loompas died and everybody is too busy grieving to process my order?

Surely there must be a reason.

lol... maybe when they recieve an order... they will start to buy the card on local computer store.. haha..

That's what I'm starting to believe. They just buy the card on ebay, then use the extra money they charge us to throw an office pizza party or something. (No, I don't really believe that. But I do find it questionable--as I said--that a major selling point of the computer tacks on an additional two week building time.)
