Impressive Community Of Posters

Here I was set to plunk down some serious change for a complete Mac set up for video and audio editing, knowing jack about Apple, and even less regarding notebook vs. desktop - and I found this thread / forum. I am very glad I did. I shall continue due diligence.

I can't see how this thread was persuade him NOT to buy one. Apple tech support simply had mixed up either the repair order number or the physical notebook according to the original poster. A simple human mistake, one that any manufacturer could make. It also seems it was corrected within at most a 6 day window(time of first post...assume he posted this relatively soon after he found out the info...to the time of his update...which may or may not have been a day or two late). It's a pain, but it doesn't seem unreasonable.
