I'm not starting shit like you are. you act all hard and hide behind your monitor. i don't have a problem until people spout off like they know everything.
I only have a problem, when he isn't even willing to call.

I haven't started anything, and whenever anyone says call, he just says "Well..uhh..." and does nothing, then posts in the next thread.

And once again, I am not spouting of flike I know everything. We have given him advice in multiple instances, and he doesn't take it, and continues to post in threads. I have given him advice to call Apple and get a 100% definitive answer, that is IT. I have not said they will or will not fix it.

yo guys,

you gotta chill out. I've posted this in one other forum. forums.macnn.com

that's all!!! how am i suppose to know people on here are members of other forums, and does that really matter? i'm sure there are people on macnn.com that aren't on here!!!

and i thought forums was for people ta ask questions back and forth, not ta bitch about someone's questions back and forth. So what if i'm cheap, picky, whatever the hell else you wanna call me, this is a forum, i can ask whatever questions, and if you don't wanna answer, just don't respond, i'm not forcing you ta read it am i? you can clearly see what the subject is, and if you don't wanna hear about my problem, just don't click on it, it's that easy.

and whoever said apple won't fix this is wrong, i took it in the the apple store yesterday and they are gonna fix it. No charge!!!

Good to hear.

Those who said they wouldn't fix it were in another post...

So you called first and then took it in or something?

Hopefully they won't crack your powerbook while fixing it though... that'd be...ironic, but bad :P

um, just take it back and get another one from the store, my ipod was the same way. Top part compared to the bottom part was ofset and they swapped a new one for me.

You just have to bug the hell out of apple, eventually theyll get the point. It worked for me and my ibook. It had a 'stuck' pixel, and the hand rest made a cracking noise when rested upon. They gave me a brand new iBook with a new 1 yr warranty, included the new upgrades (when I bought the first one it was a 800mhz processor, and they gave me one with a 1.2 GHz), they also upped my ram from 384 to 512. I was extremely pleased with them. You just have to be a little rough with them.

My lid isn't offset horizontally, but it is a little offset vertically. But, it is only millimeters difference, and I don't think it is that big of a deal. The reason for this is probably because it only has 1 latch, compared to many other notebooks with two.
