Wait, so mcl can use 3 keys at once, and did NOT flash his firmware, but Divine_Madcat can't use 3 keys at once and DID flash his firmware?

Yeah, I'm confused too mcl replied and stated the firmware he is running. Divine Madcat replied, but just said "interesting..." What does that mean?

I imagine he meant that it was interesting that the FN/cntrl bios flash had not been applied and he could use multiple combinations. If we find that when it is applied you cant use multiple combinations it would suggest that was the cause.

Well I guess the thing to do is post here if you have a 5680:

1. Have you flashed to the fn/ctrl swap?
2. Can you press 3 keys at once?

So far I have played BF1942, UT2k3, NFS HP2, DF BHD, and RS without noticing anything. The only thing that might have been a clue was that when running around in Raven Shield, the 'N' key wouldnt respond (notice that unlike what was stated by others, the previously pressed keys were unaffected).

EDIT: NOTE: The above 'N' key effect was observed once and I do not remember noticing anything similar last night when I last played.

Another game I'm seeing that annoying problem is in CS when I hit tab to view the status of everyone (whether everone is dead or not) I can't move around at all. This is going to do a number on my reaction time!!!! Me and my Clan are going to hate you for this!!!

I've found that while some 3 key combos work just fine, some 3 key combos don't work. I can't give you specifics atm because of location.

Which version of the firmware are you running? The original, the updated non-CTRL/FN swap, or the CTRL/FN swap?

If you guys use the arrow keys to move or remap the keys to the other side of the keyboard (try yhgj) does it still do it? That way we can maybe tell if it's just the way it is or something another flash can modify. I know from desktop experience you're limited to the number of keys that operate at the same time so I'm not sure.

Yup same problem when I use "IKJL" keys...

When im racing in F1 2002 I like to brake and accellerate at the same time (balance the car's attitude through the curve) and if I try this then I cannot steer...weird...

But I have not noticed this as a problem when I play FPS WASD keys mind you...Maybe the problem is there...I just dont notice it...

I played NFS HP2 two days ago and I steered, accelerated, and used the hand brake all at the same time.

Not the hand brake - that works for me...Im talking about the brake...

I = accel

K = brake

J = Left

L = right

you can brake and accel at the same time but you cannot steer when you're doing this...

It doesnt happen when the keys are far apart...only when they are bunched up close together...like they are all sharing a common bus...
