Looking for high battery life + DVD Playback

Hi there,

I already have a Sager 9860 but I'm looking for one that is not a desktop replacement... more of a travel companion.

As it will be an alternative to the Sager, I want it to provide things the Sager does not... specifically, portability and a long battery life.

The only extra is I would like to be able to play DVDs on it.

Any clear cut suggestions?

Oh, and I need a full keyboard like the 9860.

What screen size are you looking for?

That's variable. Probably 15. I think a 17 would compete with the 9860 and be too bulky. 14 might be too small.

get a mac, though they don't have a separate number pad.

Did I mention I really don't want a mac?

Let me clarify... I don't need a full keyboard actually, but for some reason I find it really hard to type on the toshiba laptops, but it's much easier on the 9860. It just feels like the keys are spaced better or something....

Is the Z71V something I should be looking at?

It's worth looking into, and so is the V6v, which is lighter (although more expensive). I don't think you'd have any trouble watching DVDs with a 64+ MB video card of the later generations.
