Prism,

I may be wrong because I don't use WinAce but, an .exe file is usually self-extracting. WinAce seems to extract .ace and .rar files. I say, make sure you virus scan the .exe file then double click on it and see what happens.

Thanks but did that already and I get a message stating that it will only install on a Win MCE platform!

And, for the "windows classic on the side of explorer windows". . .It looks like that even if I use the normal "blue" XP theme.

Not windows explorer, it looks the same. I am talking about things such as the my computer window opens up, then "system tasks", "other places", and "details", look a lot like windows classic.

Star Dock anybody?

I tried to unzip the files downloaded from Microsoft and I got an error message that this can only be used on windows media edition. Did I do something wrong?

The file attempted to unzip but it was stopped before it could complete with the error message.

I am running xp pro on a dell 8400. Thanks, Brad

Any help would be appreciated.

That's what I meant to say, haha.

Those little "other places" and "details" have always looked the same to me; whether on XP or Classic themes.

Well, for us non-stardock users, it's nice to have a little change from the norm!!

I like the shinyness. . .I think it adds a lot more depth!!

I've been using this theme on my Thinkpad T42 since November, here is the link I got it from:

I like it! Thanks! I've played with Stardock and Litestep before, but I keep coming back to a normal theme.. it's just easier sometimes and I don't have the time to keep fiddling with litestep.

I wish MS let us have more control of the UI. Hopefully Longhorn will let us have more control, but knowing MS, they probably won't

I want EVERYTHING to be customizable!! Guess I'm stuck with Stardock or Litestep..

You don't really need to deal with rar and batch files if you don't want to. It's been packaged into a simple installer file:

Are there any other themes available like this? That do not require another program?

Thank you very much for the Royale/Energy Blue theme. It looks great!
