700m and new model 12" Shinza ZeroShock sleeve.

Does the new model of the Shinza sleeve fit the 700m, how about with an extended battery? I just got my Shinza sleeve for my 700m Im supposed to be getting and didnt know the newer models are a bit smaller so Im hoping it fits.


If the 8 cell doesnt fit, how well does it fit with the regular battery?

The regular battery just barely fits into the sleeve.

I've heard people say it fits with the extended battery but not sure of the new model. Could you post back when you get your laptop, because I'm looking for one too..

Oh oh, this really sucks, i just ordered one. I thought i saw somewhere in the forum someone saying that if you leave it overnight it will expand to fit the 8cell battery. I hope so!!!

Well he might have an older model of the sleeve, the newer models are apparently more tight.

the 12" is too tight for the 8cell...yes the foam stretches and the fabric casing of the foam stretches as well, but you are putting lots of stress on the seems when the foam is cold (i.e. room temp). i'd recommend against it, as i also notice it puts some strain on the battery and may loosen the battery connection with the laptop over time

i'd recommend something else or the 15"
