Yeah, no problem, I always like to help people if I can. I think all 9860 come with SATA hard drives, but I could be wrong.

Hmm, I thought that window's should automatically detect the wireless card and install drivers. If not, you could try to go right click on "My Computer" click on "Properties," click on the hardware tab, then click device manager. That should list all of the components on your system. Now just look at your network adapters, find the wireless card and click update drivers. If it asks you for the cd, you could try installing the drivers that came with the sager. I don't know if this will work, but it is at least worth a try.

they list sata and ata seperate...go figure. i was expecting ata but sata cool beans man.

i tried everything can think over to get the frivers installed. in device manager it does list wireless network card it list the gigabit card and in other devices it list network controller with a question mark. can't figure it out.
the driver disk did not have it.

That network controller with the question mark is probably the problem. Delete it, and let Windows re-detect it. Then, start pointing it at all the drivers that came with. Eventually it should find it.

Actually, I'd delete both the wireless and the "other devices" network port. Preferably, do this in safe mode. If there's multiple instances showing up, delete all of them. Reboot, and reinstall the drivers when prompted as Windows detects them(I'm not sure if it'll have the drivers for the card on the Sager in windows or not...I would think it'd have the basic wireless driver, though). If it doesn't work or you want the extra features, then go ahead and install the software that came with the laptop.

You can always wipe it and reinstall.

It can end up being easier than spending hours trying to figure out what the problem is.
