AW, are you designing your own case?

Do you guys think AW's designing their own lappy from the ground up?
I really want to see how crazy the concept they can come up with.
The only thing I don't like about 7700 is that it is a clone of Clevo and it looks similiar to lappies of other brands. It's just like twins in different clothes. Feel weird...

Come on come on come on, AW!! Sketch it out and we all will appreciate it!

GrantHell, 99% of the lappy sellers get their boxes from hidden manufacturers, like Clevo in Taiwan. It's standard practice. Don't wait for it to change.

I don't really care who designs it. What I meant was that I liked to own such a luxury lappy w/ uniqueness. For a special price, you should get something special.

I'll go for the sleeper look. Like when you see a couple of kids that pull up to a stop light with a decent looking honda accord and a mazda rx7 to race. The rx7 should win, but the kid in the accord has exhaust, headers, turbo...ect and just tears the shit of the RX7. I want my comuter to be like that.

So I'm going to get alienware to build me a 7700 and put it in a dell xps case!

Or like the VW Beetle / Caddy conversions that exist out there. Mate Caddy frame, engine, FWD assembly + VW Frame and Body = 500 cid V8 in a Bug. NOBODY expects it.

Holy shit dude, yes that is kinda what I mean. Except I don't think I could get my lappy to produce 405 HP with 25 psi boost.

The best one I saw was actually an old Pontiac Feirro. The did a caddy conversion like the VW, only it bolts right in and has a massive cooling system. Mostly because the feirros always had crappy cooling systems. Anyway, the thing was so stupidly hard to control due to it power to weight ratio that the guy didn't drive it much.
