Called AW today on my way to my interview at Sony (woohoo) and they said "Even though the web shows you're on phase 3 it looks like you're actually on phase 8." All my parts were in stock and i should expect the laptop next wed. or thurs.
Wow, thats great, I ordered mine on the 12/4 and I'm still on Phase 3 :\ Phoned them up and still say on phase 3. It moved to Phase 3 on the 14/4 Been on there now for 5days.

Did you ask them why its taking so long? You might've chosen some parts that were out of stock. Or if you used a debit card there's usually a limit on how much they can take out of your account each day which can slow the process. Keep me posted on your progess!

Yeah phoned twice, They never said anything was backlogged, just it will take 20 working days from when we recieve your payment which they said they got thursday, thats it.

Anywhoo I can just wait it out, its just quite annoying that a weeks gone by and it havent moved. That been said The Europe Alienware HQ IS in Northern Irland, So they've either got the Hacksaw out trying to resize the 20" TFT to a 17" one, or they've got the hammer out trying to fit the Desktop case inside the laptop case.

Thanks for the warm welcome AlienHead. Just checked the web and Im phase 9 now. Found out coincidentally that I have both wed. and thurs. off next week so I can sit and hide in the bushes for my FedEx deliverer. Gonna have to borrow a digital camera for this experience....don't want to let you guys down...haha....gotta get the pictures.

Wow....all in a matter of hours I skipped to Phase 12. Im going to stay positive on this one and tell myself its because my lappy is so AWESOME that it just passed all 200 points of inspection without any problems.

Yeah my order was shipped, however, It doesn't look like its been scanned after it departed the Orlando facility. Also I noticed that ony one package departed the facility and not the second, smaller package(probably the floppy drive). How about you????
neither package has been scanned after leaving orlando. according to the tracking info the estimated ship date is may 3 tuesday comming up.

it looks like both of my packages have been scanned and are on the same truck. i really dont care about floppy drives. laptops are the only computers i have that have them anyways. i use mainly blank DVD-R RWs and CD-RWs to take files with me, i also use my 4.4gig thumb drive alot. at home i never use blank media really i transfer what i need over my network. gigabit lans are nice and fast
