Very poor 3dmark2k3 performance on 5680

just ran the latest 3dmark2k3 on my less than a day old 5680 (with bios update) and got 2458 as my score. this is MUCH lower than what others are reporting. could someone help me try to figure out what the problem might be?
thanks!

edit: i shut down all non system processes and ran the test first thing after a reboot. using drivers that came installed.
what is Ati2mdxx under msconfig. is it neccessary? trying to shave off everything uneeded.

dx9.0b, which is what i assume comes preinstalled. and the 7.93 drivers, which are preinstalled as well. what setting do you guys use under the direct 3d tab in the ati control panel?

i'm a gigantic idiot. i had 8xAF on from when i was fooling around with morrowind. i rebooted and got a 2976. sorry

edit: since it wont let me close the thread, what are some tweaks that could up my performance a bit? i tried bumping up the clock/mem speed but even 20mhz each caused artifacting, so i went back to defaults. i bet fooling around with different drivers might help but i'm too lazy to mess with that till new official ones come out.

Pooh to you for giving me a scare
