How do I remove "Bluetooth Information Exchange" Icon from Desktop?

Yeah, I am sure this is a dumb question, but I used desktop cleanup and also just deleted it directly and it just keeps reappearing each startup.

Turn off the Bluetooth in the system tray and the icon dissapears. If you turn it back on it comes back.

Why would you want to disable the Bluetooth Manager?

If you don't wanna see the icon, use Microsoft Powertoys TweakUI. In Desktop section, remove the checkmark from Bluetooth Information Manager.

This way Bluetooth Manager still loads, but you don't get the icon on your desktop.

Try doing it without TweakUI. About the time that the bluetooth icon on the System goes from red to green, the icon appears on the Desktop. It is as if the BT driver unloads the icon at shutdown and reloads it at startup.

I right-click on the bluetooth icon and select Service Properties. ALL of the checkboxes are unchecked - even the one for the Bluetooth Information Exchange Service - and yet the icon keeps on reappearing on every startup.

It is as if Toshiba is trying to force the Bluetooth Information Exchange upon us. I really don't care if I have the Bluetooth Information Exchange active on my machine or not. I only want the icons on my desktop that I use every day - the Bluetooth Information Exchange is NOT one of them.

The solution in that thread is the exact same thing I said a couple posts ago. Geez!
