X6000 Air Fan problem

I just received my X6000 last friday. That's sweet!!! But today I find the air fan in the middle is not working. Is that normal?
By the way, what the brand are hard drive and DVD ROM?

Here are spaces:
Intel Pentium 4 640 3.2 GHz w/HT
17.0" WXGA+ BrightView Wide Viewing
1.0GB DDR2 SDRAM, 533MHz
80 GB 5400 RPM Hard Drive

Nice laptop!!!

About the fan..might want to check out www.zd8000forums.com for views from other owners.

To find out the Hard drive and DVD specs...

My Computer ---> Right click Local Disk (C: ) ---> Select Properties--->Hardware Tab.
